Shorts: American Eagle, DIY cut offs
Tights: Wal-Mart
Socks: Mama :o)
Moccasins: TjMaxx
Bracelet: Pangea

Hi loves!! This outfit was actually from a couple of days ago.. and sadly just now getting posted. This shirt is one of my favorite pieces of clothing that I own! One day I was shopping at Urban Outfitters in The Gulch and fell in love with the sparkly shoulder detail. The shape of the shirt is kindly laid back and slouchy, which I appreciate very much :o)

L.A.M.B 2011 Spring Collection

This is just a little glimpse of Gwen Stefani's Spring 2011 collection. I love her combinations of bold colors and patterns! I also see some masculine mixed with feminine pieces, which is quite refreshing. I love when designers are not afraid to layer, drape and think outside of the box.

Love It or Hate It.

 Photos By Kyle Boen

Outfit Details:

Sweatshirt: Thrifted
Shorts: American Eagle, DIY cut offs
Tights: Wal-Mart
Headband: Charlotte Russe
Boots: Payless
Purse: Thrifted

I am going to keep this short and sweet!! Fashion is all about being yourself and feeling good in whatever you wear. I like to wear things out of the ordinary and keep people wondering.. what in the heck is this girl going to come up with next!! It is fun, exciting and totally me!! People either love it or hate it. This sweatshirt may get a lot of unwanted giggles, but I am true to myself and I love what's going on with this outfit! I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone..try pushing the limits..it's fun!! Carrie Bradshaw's character in Sex and the City is so inspiring, I mean that girl is fearless when it comes to making a fashion statement. And most of all, I would like to thank the little old lady who probably hand painted this darling bear and donated this sweatshirt to the thrift store, you deserve a hug my friend :o)

The man behind the camera.....

....meet my love, Kyle.

Happy Monday everyone!! I thought it was time to introduce the man behind the camera..my delightful husband Kyle. We have been married for over 2 years now and I feel very blessed to have found my best friend and a Godly man who loves me for me :o)

This outfit makes me feel so girly!!..always a plus. I love the light, airy floral print on this high waisted skirt and the different buttons that line the front add something playful and unique to it!* I found this skirt at Plato's Closet in Nashville while visiting my sister..stellar find if I may say. I paired this soft skirt with slightly ripped black tights to create a more intense look. DIY a pair of tights..it's a fun and simple project! I have 2 black pairs that I ripped and I wear them when I want to achieve a different style. One pair is slightly ripped and the other pair is heavily ripped all over, which I'm sure you will see in later posts ;o) And these gold shoes just add the right sparkle needed for this outfit to shine!!

Vintage Vertical Stripes.

Photos By Kyle Boen

Outfit Details:

Dress: Vintage
Tights: Wal-Mart, DIY Ripped
Boots: Rack Room
Belt: Charlotte Russe

I absolutely looove this vintage style dress with its delightful, ruffled waist line!! I found it for $3 in a mess of dresses at ATS and it still had the original Sears tag neatly sewn in the neck. My plan is to cut at least 8 inches off the bottom! I feel more comfortable in shorter dresses with tights* But... I was just so excited about finding this dress..I thought I would go ahead and post a before picture. I will post an after picture when I get done altering the length!
After it is altered, I love that I will be able to dress this up with sparkly booties or just throw on a pair of gladiator sandals & a fitted blazer to make it casual<3

LOVE.

Some of Betsey Johnson's Spring 2011 Collection:

I chose some of my favorite pieces from this collection to post<3 Betsey Johnson is one of my absolute favorite designers! I love the energy of this collection and the bold color palettes that we see. Of course, the floral print may have caught my eye in the 2nd picture..probably 80% of the clothing I own are floral print. I love how the dress looks like a floating water color, it's quite beautiful!

Jeans: Thrifted, Jordache Basics
Shirt: Thrifted
Purse: Thrifted
Sparkly Booties: Thrifted

Oh boy!! I didn't realize my entire outfit has belonged to other lovely people besides myself when I was getting dressed. (A lot of times I wish I knew the stories behind the clothes I buy from thrift stores) Well nonetheless, just another thrifting adventure for me :o) I fell in love with these jeans the other day while out at America's Thrift Store with my friend Casey (p.s. I hope everyone has a friend who is as wonderful as her)..I had planned on cutting them off and wearing them as short shorts, but then I got to looking at the detail at the bottom of the jeans and I just can't cut those beautiful bows off!! I absolutely loove how high waisted they are and how feminine and soft the bows make the jeans look. I love mixing hard and soft pieces of clothing together..so I paired them with a thrifted Broadway t-shirt and some very sparkly black booties which complement my very sparkly thrifted purse. I have been on a mad search for the perfect black side purse for months and I could not have found a more perfect one that says "me"..For anyone that knows me, I adore sparkles!! Actually, sparkle is my favorite color<3..so when I laid eyes on this beauty, I knew it was simply meant to be, and only $2. Haaaa, yes!!!

Shirt: Olivia's Closet
Scarf: Thrifted
Belt: Thrifted
Shorts: Thrifted/Altered
Tights: Rugged Wearhouse
Flats: Old Navy
Earrings: Betsey Johnson

Hi everyone* Hope you are all having a lovely Sunday<3 This has been quite a weekend for me. Friday morning I got my wisdom teeth pulled!! The entire process was a blurr and I don't remember much, but the healing has not been so pleasant. I have been snuggled up on the couch with chicken broth, sprite, ice cream and jello..so I have yet to venture out and do much of anything*

This outfit is actually from right before the snow came this past week, but I wanted to post the winter wonderland pictures first* The grey shirt is borrowed from Olivia and the majority of my finds are from a local thrift store. I love the high waisted shorts, but they were actually really long when I purchased them. Altering allows for a fun and creative time! I tend to look for the hidden potential in clothing ;o) I don't just search for the items that fit me correctly.. but I like to find pieces that I can easily alter to fit my personality more. And with the length of the shorts, I can switch out tights and make many different looks.

Fashion accessories: decorative items that supplement and complement clothing.

I really do love to accessorize! With this look I chose a scarf with a floral print to complement the blue shorts & tie everything together.

Once upon a time, there lived a young faire princess who only dreamed of owning her very own leopard fur jacket.  Most of her precious time was consumed admiring the other princesses who wore them so beautifully in the fairytale magazines such as Fairy Vogue.  One day to her surprise an unusually large box showed up on her doorstep decorated with a lovely white shipping label.  She immediately became curious and excited.  Her prince strolled into their sage parlour and announced the strange box was for her and a gift for Christmas.  The princess batted her long eyelashes and lightly pursed her pale pink lips.  The prince simply gave in and let her open the mysterious box two weeks before Christmas Day.  Oohs and Ahhs filled the parlour as she pulled out a beautiful leopard fur jacket and threw her arms around her prince charming.  And they lived happily ever after.
-The End

And that is how this delightful leopard jacket came into my life<3

I've realized that I am quite fond of red lipstick these days and I plan on wearing it a lot more.  It's always exciting to me when I find a new look that I like to play around with and that makes me feel spicy :o) For this look I wore the same cream blouse as I did in the pictures with my favorite little black dress.  I just love the vintage pirate feel it has! And this high waisted black skirt with the lace overlay is one of my favorite thrifted finds that I snatched up at a shop in Hillsboro Village called Clothing XChange.  I adore thrift stores and sometimes you have to dig to find the treasure*  And one of my many loves, this leopard fur jacket from Anthropologie that my husband got me for Christmas this year! I love everything about it...the shape, where it hits at the waist and the quarter length sleeves :o) Fact: I have long arms..so it is SO hard to find any long sleeves that fit me.  As Carrie Bradshaw would say "Oh, you did me proud, mister!!" <3

Snowflakes.

Georgia got snow!!* I really love glistening white snow.  We got about 6+ inches guesstimated where I live in Georgia..and it is still coming down.  This is my white blizzard & I believe the most I have seen the 12 years I have lived here. Unfortunately, I missed the blizzard of 1993 when my family and I were still living in Hawaii..it was bittersweet<3

Kyle ventured out earlier and took some pictures.

Since I did not post yesterday..I thought I would surprise you with two looks today, it's only fair!*
