I know, right?? How can 2 pieces of clothing make such a statement? I love mixing patterns and textures, it's kind of an obsession..along with my new found love of Harry Potter. I am always inspired by the numerous amounts of fashion magazines I drool over on a daily basis & the endless Sex and the City episodes I watch. This is my life people, I crave fashion! Even though I don't have the pricey labels and the unique Manolo Blahniks Carrie Bradshaw pranced around the streets of NYC in, I work with what I have stored away in my color coordinated closet :o) Like this extremely fun and energetic outfit. It's a mix between a tribal print and floral lace, which are so different that they work in a quirky and quite interesting way!! Please let me know what you think<3

I often forget to remove my three black hair ponies that decorate my wrist on a daily basis :o) I love this look! I fell in love with this sheer blouse the moment my sister purchased it & now it is mine to smother in kisses. Thank you, Britt!! Also, these shorts will be making many appearances this summer seeing how much they make me happy. The cotton black leggings were hanging in my closet the other day and I decided to cut them off in to short leggings above the knee after watching an episode of Roseanne. My husband Kyle and I are what you called "obsessed" with the show Roseanne. I owe it all to him since he introduced me to the amaaaazing comedy. Becky Conner wore short blue jean shorts similar to these with some stylish black biker shorts underneath..so she totally inspired me. And when my sister was home visiting this past weekend, she triggered my memory when pulling out a pair of short leggings of her own (with lace at the bottom--very Britt :o) ). Once again, I feel more comfortable when wearing something under these short shorts and the black leggings are slimming, which is a plus.

I am totally over thunderstorms, lightning and cable/internet outages!! They seem to be every week now and life would be so much prettier without them. I understand rain, just not all of the scary stuff that decides to tag along. I just wish every day could be rainbows and sunflowers and unicorns.

Fact: I love hand-me-downs. And I love my sister for always thinking of me when she decides to raid her closet and start new or in this case, take only her most favorite pieces of clothing and move across the country ;o) She knows I will only take the best care of her old clothes. These black lace leggings have earned a deserving spot on a ballerina pink hanger in my closet and I adore them!! Apparently, these leggings are called "trample feet pants" meaning they still have a bottom part that wraps around your foot..they are soo cute. You can't tell in this picture, but you will see soon what I mean. I love the idea of wearing really short shorts, but I truly only feel comfortable if I wear tights underneath them, so these are perfect and I think they add a girliness to the outfit.

As you may know already, I am quite fearless when it comes to fashion. My thoughts are: Why place it safe?? Fashion is all about expressing yourself and having fun. In this outfit I feel comfy, dressy, vibrant and ready to dance. Not a bad combination at all!! What I have learned my entire life was to dress for myself, not for anyone else. If I am feeling it, I wear it :o)

Favorite Summer Swimwear: 1950's Style.

I am in love with 1950's swimwear and the adorable floral swim caps. This was also said to be the decade of swimwear glamour. I agree!!



Favorite Summer Hair: A Messy Bun.

I love the combination of short shorts and boots in the summer! This pretty cropped floral top and knit hat mixed with black shorts, the chain necklaces and black boots really work well together! I love mixing soft and hard pieces.
