This outfit is actually from Sunday evening when my lovely babe and I enjoyed a date night in downtown Chattanooga where we had a delicious Italian meal at Tony's located in the Art District :o) As you can tell, almost everything I am wearing is from Forever 21(love the store to sparkles). This blouse was seriously $5. Yeah, I couldn't pass it up. I love the cute polka dots and the structure of the blouse. It is very forgiving and has a 'carelessness' about it that makes it fun. I also adore the open neckline in which I unbuttoned to reveal just enough. The red ring was another lovely bargain-$3. The rich red hue complements the royal blue, mustard yellow and creams.
Baby Blues. I have always loved a good comfortable shirt. This one definitely wins a sparkly pink star in my book. I found it at Forever 21 carelessly misplaced on a rack full of white pants. It is so very soft and the color is absolutely dreamy. I love the pale blue and red combination, maybe this is my inner nautical-ness I never knew I had, so I paired a bright cherry red lip with this outfit, tousled my hair and this is what I came up with!! Very chill and comfy. And adding a cuff to your skinnys will change any look :o)
Ombre. Haven't you heard?? It's all the hype around the world now! It seems like everywhere I look in magazines, a new celebrity has their hair dark at the roots and gradually fading to a lighter shade at the bottom. I would usually stray away from the current trend that everyone is doing (I like to rebel) but with this trend..I've been dying to do it forever it seems and finally got up the courage to buy some bleach and give it a whirl. The worst I planned on happening was: I fry my hair horribly and have to cut it off in to an unblushingly cute pixie like Emma Watson sports. Well, I am so happy with the end result. I apologize for the picture quality..I used my phone! I decided to use L'Oreal Paris Frost & Design for dark brown hair in Caramel. I did a test strand for 30 minutes and decided to just jump in to it afterwards! So I put on my gloves and seriously just covered the ends in bleach for 30 minutes, washed it out and blow dried it. Then I added some more color to the tips of my hair for another 20 minutes to lighten them even more. I think I did a pretty darn good job ;o)
Below are some ladies with dark brown hair like mine with the "Ombre" look.
..and the queen of "Ombre" since her Sex and the City days, Sarah Jessica Parker. (LOVE) but anyone who really knows me..eh, already knows that!! :o)
Really wish I had our good camera, but the ends are not orange..more like a golden- bronze. It works. And I am very pleased with how it turned out, now I can unravel the knots in my stomach. Don't over think the process, it is extremely easy!!
As I was prancing around Barnes and Noble in my long floral maxi dress on Independence Day with my lovely mum and husband, my eye caught these beautiful golden locks on the front on Teen Vogue. These pictures are insane, they are seriously like my dreams on crack! I mean, I kind of like to pretend that I live in a fairy tale, I feel like everything is more beautiful that way. I am lovin the vintage dresses, floral backgrounds, old Hollywood glamour, brushed out curls and raspberry kissed lips. I am obsessed with the pastel color palette and the "Secret Garden" feel of the entire photo shoot aswell. Taylor Swift has always been one of my beauty icons and I absolutely adore her.
